About A.M. Briggs

A.M. Briggs was founded in 1926 by Albert M. Briggs. Charles Harris, Sr., (Top Left) purchased the company in 1946. Then in 1972 Mr. Harris, Sr., handed the reins to his son  Chuck - Charles Harris Jr., (Top Right). 

In 1979, we moved to our current 30,000-square-foot location. Currently, over 100 people are employed to continue our reputation of fine quality and service. Twenty-four refrigerated trucks are used to deliver to more than 750 customers.

In December 2000 A.M. Briggs, Inc. became part of the SYSCO Family of Companies. This move provided us with additional opportunities to grow our business and introduce A.M. Briggs quality products to a much larger audience.

Our service area includes Washington D.C. (daily deliveries), plus Baltimore and its metropolitan area, Annapolis, and as far south and west to include northern Virginia, Warrenton, Manassas, Richmond and Williamsburg.
